Not your typical Cape. This modern Cape design features a highly energy efficient envelope and modern air-sealing details. Double thick, staggered stud walls, triple-glazed windows, and attention to air-sealing techniques create an energy efficient design with wonderful views of the Sasanoa River.
The design takes advantage of the slope of the property so it’s a two story at the front and three stories with a walk-out basement on the water side. The orientation allows the owner to create solar power from roof-mounted solar panels, and it has paid off by very low energy bills since construction.
