Maine Branch Cottage
Arrowsic, Maine

This 760 sf cottage reflects the owner’s desire for minimal impact near the water and views of both the water and upland rocky bluff. Double-thick walls and triple-glazed windows, along with a blower door test result of 0.90 ACH 50, requires a very small heating and cooling system. Above the ridge two small he/she sheds and a bath house are connected by exterior decks.
Space saving elements were used, such as a bed on rails that rolls out for a closet and a TV that glides behind a bookcase out of view when not in use.
