At 34,000 sf, Patriot Insurance Company moved into their new corporate headquarters late in 2017. DMA and Sebago Technics provided building and site design that became the first large project to be reviewed under Character Based Development Code in Yarmouth.

Designed to relate to Yarmouth’s historic mill building along the Royal River, the two-story brick building has carefully detailed traditional details such as precast concrete window sills and heads, well-proportioned fascia and entablature, and historically proportioned dormers to help break up the large roof. By code, the building is facing and oriented along the street.

A combination of private offices and large cubicle areas make up the large wings for Patriot. But the large conference room that can handle the entire staff, as well as welcoming community space during off-hours, is the center of the design. There is additional leasable office space that create a flexible and income-generating building for Patriot Insurance Company. Additional photos are forthcoming with good weather.
