The Ridge Line
Harpswell, Maine
Architecture: David Matero Architecture
Builder: Oceanside Builders
Constructed among rock outcroppings and oriented to capture the southern sun, this 2,300 sf house leaves very little space unused.
Both energy and economically efficient, this open plan concept is ideal for living spaces, but offers hidden and private spaces for the children to get away. Low, under-roof spaces with skylights, and lofts use all of the volume of the house for these private areas.
The curved roof adds an interesting architectural element, but also allows for a high-ceilinged living room with abundant light coming from above.
