Kennebunk, Maine

On the banks of the Kennebunk River, Federal Jack’s restaurant is one of Maine’s first brew pubs, and birthplace of Shipyard Brewing Company.
In need of an exterior facelift, DM/A designed a new outdoor deck and ground floor patio with a new wood structural system, cable railings integrated with LED lighting, and a prominent Douglas Fir ceiling.
Greg Day Lighting highlighted the wood ceiling from wood column “soffits” and provided direct lighting with simple hanging fixtures to minimize holes in the tongue and groove ceiling.
