DM|A worked with the owners of a summer cottage who wished to expand their residence while also maintaining the eclectic and contemporary angles of their home in Phippsburg.

Working within strict shoreland zoning restrictions for expansions of the footprint, a reorganization of the interior circulation greatly improved the daily use of the new spaces and allow room for visiting family and friends during the summer.

A new wall of windows facing the New Meadows River greatly expands the view of the water, and the use of stainless steel railing on the new staircase creates a very open and expansive feeling to the interior.
