A wonderfully modern house overlooking Winnegance Bay, Clifden was named by the clients after a special place for them in Ireland. Our clients are both artists, and one is an architect for large medical facilities, which turned into a great design team with DMA.

The exterior marries wood, metal and glass as it hugs the landscape in an arc to accommodate the many restrictions on site, such as the grade, water setbacks, and existing septic system.

The open great room has both a large and intimate feel, and expansive views to the water. A reading room is neatly tucked away behind the stone fireplace, and a jigsaw puzzle drawer is built into the kitchen cabinets, just some of the custom items that makes this home truly unique to our clients.

Construction by Oceanside Builders. The blower door test came in at an impressive .85 ACH 50, and along with double studded walls and triple-glazed windows, is a very comfortable home in both winter and summer.
